We recommend installing your eSIM while connected to a strong Wi-Fi or data network to avoid any issues during installation.
If you've purchased an eSIM data package for international travel, it's a good idea to install it while you're still at home. This way, you can ensure it's set up properly before you head abroad. However, you can also install your eSIM while traveling, and begin using the data package immediately.
If you've purchased an eSIM data package for use in another country and are installing it while still at home, your data package won’t activate since your iPhone cannot connect to international networks yet.
However, if your eSIM data package is for your current location, it will activate right away during installation.
Once you've purchased an eSIM data package, you can install it on your iPhone. You can do this at home, before traveling, over Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Scan the QR code we have shared with you with your normal Camera (just like you would scan any normal QR code) or use the Quick Install link (iOS 17.4+) that is included with your eSIM information.
Once you have successfully scanned the QR code, a yellow popup will appear at the bottom of the screen “Cellular Plan”. Please tap on it.
You can also use the Quick Install link. It will open eSIM installation process too!
