We recommend installing your eSIM while connected to a strong Wi-Fi or data network to avoid any issues during installation.

If you've purchased an eSIM data package for international travel, it's a good idea to install it while you're still at home. This way, you can ensure it's set up properly before you head abroad. However, you can also install your eSIM while traveling, and begin using the data package immediately.

Will my data package activate as soon as I install my eSIM on my Android?

If you've purchased an eSIM data package for use in another country and are installing it while still at home, your data package won’t activate since your smartphone cannot connect to international networks yet.

However, if your eSIM data package is for your current location, it will activate right away during installation.

How to Install eSIM on Your Android

Once you've purchased an eSIM data package, you can install it on your smartphone. You can do this at home, before traveling, over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
